ABOVE GROUND INSTALLATION FOR AN UNDERGROUND PET FENCE

Want to use an underground pet fence, but are not able to bury the wires and worry about the effectiveness of the system? Do not worry. The above ground installation is just as effective above ground as it is in-ground. When you are doing an above ground installation, safety is a big concern. With the purchase of Securing Staples, you can rest assure that the wires are safely secured to the ground to avoid a tripping hazard. When you are ready to install, read the included instruction manual and follow the steps below.

Step 1:

First, lay out the boundary wire in the place and shape you want the invisible fence to be. Run the twisted wire to the transmitter and plug it in.


Step 2:

Hammer the Securing Staple over the wire about every five – six feet. After that, check for any points that the wire is still raised. If you see any raised wire, staple it to the ground. The wire must be completely flushed to the ground for optimal safety.


Step 3:

Another Securing Staple will go where twisted wire and the beginning of the invisible pet fence meet. If there is a splice, bury the splice about two inches deep. Place a staple in front of and behind the splice to relieve the pressure.


Step 4:

Place a staple at each corner of the yard. If the yard is not square, just pick out sections that will act as anchor points. Continue to add staples to any spots that require it. Any raised wire will be a tripping hazard, be sure to avoid this.
